Responsible Gambling
At 999myr, player wellbeing is not a policy footnote — it is a core operating principle. This page explains the tools, resources, and standards we maintain to ensure that gaming on our platform remains safe, controlled, and genuinely enjoyable.
For players aged 21 and above only | Play within your means | Help is always available
Gambling Should Always Be a Choice, Not a Compulsion
The vast majority of people who gamble do so recreationally — they set a budget, enjoy the experience, and walk away. 999myr is built to serve those players well. But we also recognise that for a small number of people, gambling can become harmful, and our responsibility does not end when a player deposits and starts playing.
We have invested significantly in responsible gambling infrastructure — not because a policy document requires it, but because we believe the long-term health of our platform depends on players who are playing because they want to, at stakes they can genuinely afford. A player who develops a gambling problem is not a business success story. It is a failure we take personally.
On this page, you will find a full overview of the tools available to you, guidance on recognising problem gambling, information on how to request a self-exclusion, and contact details for professional support organisations available to Malaysian players and internationally.
Your Responsible Gambling Toolkit
Every 999myr account includes the following responsible gambling tools, accessible at any time from your Account Settings. They are free to use, take effect promptly, and can only be relaxed after a mandatory cooling-off period.
Deposit Limits
Set a maximum deposit amount per day, per week, or per month in MYR. Once your chosen limit is reached, no further deposits will be accepted until the period resets. Reductions take effect immediately. Increases require a mandatory 24-hour review period before activation — this delay is intentional and protects you from impulsive decisions made in the moment.
Session Time Limits
Configure a maximum session duration. When your session timer expires, you will receive a prominent notification and be automatically logged out. Session limits help prevent the kind of extended, unplanned play that often leads to spending beyond your intended budget. You can set these per-session or as a daily cap on total play time.
Reality Check Reminders
Enable on-screen notifications at regular intervals (every 30, 60, or 90 minutes) that display your current session duration and net balance movement. These reminders are designed to interrupt the flow of play and give you a clear, objective view of your session — useful for staying grounded even during long or emotionally engaging sessions.
Cool-Off Period
Request a temporary break from 999myr for a defined period of between 24 hours and 6 weeks. During a cool-off, your account remains open but you will not be able to deposit or place wagers. All pending withdrawals will continue to be processed normally. This tool is designed for players who want a short pause without committing to a full self-exclusion.
Self-Exclusion
Request a full self-exclusion from the 999myr platform for a minimum period of 6 months, up to 5 years, or permanently. Once active, your account will be closed, all marketing communications will cease, and re-registration attempts will be blocked. Self-exclusion cannot be reversed before the agreed minimum period has elapsed — this is by design and for your protection.
Loss Limits
In addition to deposit limits, you may set a maximum net loss amount over a daily, weekly, or monthly period. Once your loss limit is reached, further wagers will be suspended until the limit period resets. Loss limits act as a safety net, ensuring that a bad run of outcomes cannot spiral beyond a boundary you have set in advance, independently of how much you have deposited.
Warning Signs of Problem Gambling
Problem gambling rarely announces itself clearly. It tends to develop gradually and can be easy to rationalise. The following are recognised indicators that gambling may have moved from recreational activity to something more serious.
Spending more money or time gambling than you originally planned, consistently across multiple sessions.
Feeling restless, irritable, or anxious when attempting to cut down or stop gambling.
Returning to gambling shortly after a loss specifically to win back what you lost — commonly known as "chasing losses".
Lying to family members, friends, or colleagues about how much time or money you spend gambling.
Borrowing money, selling possessions, or using funds earmarked for essential expenses (rent, utilities, food) to fund gambling sessions.
Gambling being the primary way you manage stress, anxiety, boredom, or difficult emotions rather than a recreational pastime.
Neglecting work, family responsibilities, or personal health and hygiene as a direct result of time spent gambling.
Needing to gamble with progressively larger amounts of money to achieve the same level of excitement or satisfaction.
Repeated unsuccessful attempts to control, cut back, or stop gambling despite a genuine desire to do so.
Quick Self-Assessment
This brief self-check is not a diagnostic tool — it is designed to prompt honest reflection about your gambling habits. Answer each question as truthfully as you can. Your responses are not recorded or submitted anywhere.
If you answer "Yes" or "Sometimes" to several of these questions, consider speaking to a professional support adviser. The organisations listed in the next section can help — confidentially and without judgement.
In the past month, have you spent more on gambling than you intended to?
Have you felt the need to gamble with larger amounts to get the same level of enjoyment?
Have you returned to gambling after a loss specifically to try to win back the money?
Has gambling caused tension or conflict with people close to you?
Have you tried to cut back on gambling but found it difficult to follow through?

These are not aspirational statements — they are operational standards that our support team and technical infrastructure are built to uphold every day. We hold ourselves accountable to each of these commitments and welcome feedback where we fall short.
Strict Age Verification at Every Registration
Every new account goes through KYC identity verification before real-money play is permitted. Age verification is not a checkbox — it is a mandatory process with zero exceptions. Players who cannot verify their age as 21+ are permanently blocked from the Platform.
No Marketing to At-Risk or Self-Excluded Players
Players who have set a self-exclusion, applied a cool-off, or have been flagged by our responsible gambling monitoring systems are immediately removed from all promotional communications. We do not use bonuses or marketing pressure to re-engage players who have asked for a break.
Proactive Monitoring for Harmful Play Patterns
Our platform monitors for behavioural indicators of problem gambling, including rapid deposit sequences, extended unbroken sessions, and significant loss escalation. Where patterns are detected, our team will reach out proactively to offer responsible gambling resources — even if the player has not asked for help.
Immediate Action on Self-Exclusion Requests
Self-exclusion requests submitted via live chat or email are processed within 24 hours. Account access is suspended and re-registration is blocked. We honour self-exclusion requests as a serious commitment, not a temporary inconvenience to be worked around.
Transparent Odds and Game Information
RTP percentages for all slot games and game provider certifications are available within each game's information panel. We do not obscure or misrepresent the mathematical odds of any game on our platform. Informed players make better decisions.
Enjoy 999myr Responsibly
